Originally I had Murdoch and Reilly explaining what was happening in these panels – El Puno was paying off The Shroud for services rendered, however was slightly short on cash.  Upset, The Shroud clotheslines him and puts Barb Wire Boy on top of El Puno, costing him he 24/7 Title again.  The three panels were not enough to give me adequate time to pace the joke.  However, I decided that I would take the chance and see if I am a good enough storyteller that Mike would be able to convey the gag (and cover up for my poor writing prowess…..again).

Sure, I could have put this strip over two days, however I didn’t feel the pay off was big enough to warrant it.  Plus, As a writer I need to learn how to get my point across as quickly and as clearly as possibly.  Once again, something I have tried to do here.  Did I succeed?  I can never tell until months later, usually when I am putting together the downloadable PDF versions (which you can download from the side bar just to the left there).  Feel free to leave us a comic letting us know if we pulled it off, or if I should head back to writing school.
